Time for Change

I decided to change my title. I decided my word for 2010 is ENJOY!! I am ready to embrace everything in my life. To ENJOY all of it. I am going to try to post more often about whatever I want. To write about all the things I ENJOY. I will also continue to post about giveaways and also reviews for all of my giveaway winnings :) Since April of 2009 I have won 50 different things through giveaways. It is so exciting for me!! I will continue to ENJOY entering them. Heck I may even do some fun, random giveaways of my own. So stay tuned.

I am so excited for this year and for so many possibilities!!

Happy New Year!!

I have decided 2010 is MY YEAR!! Okay I know thatsounds selfish but...sometimes it is needed: I have to take care of ME to take care of MY FAMILY!!

This is My Year to......

Since I am home now and not working--I am going to set-up more structured play and learning with the girls. Pre-School time for Peyton while Kendall is in school and that sort of thing.

Prioritize things in my family: Read our scriptures daily, Family Home Evening EVERY week, Family Prayer EVERY night, no excuses.

Be More Crafty

To Bake something new each month

To Cook something new each month (maybe more, but I will keep my expectations lower :)

Focus more on Matt and his schooling so he can successfully complete what he needs to, and I can take care of stuff at home while he studies LOTS!!

Exercise (I always had an excuse of NO TIME while I was working, but not no more)

ENJOY LIFE!! ENJOY THE NOW!!

I really am looking forward to life outside of work. I have been on vacation ever since I quit, and things haven't totally set in. However, I am so EXCITED!! To get on a daily routine. Getting Kendall to school, eating breakfast with the girls, exercising, teaching Peyton while Kendall is learning at school, and getting all those ignored corners clean :) I want to WORK ON ME this year. It is always a work in progress, but I feel it is more a NEED this year then normal. I am so HAPPY with where things are headed for us, and I want to keep myself centered on the PATH we are taking. I am not going to say these are goals or resolutions. I am just going to say this is what I AM DOING FOR ME AND MY FAMILY to make US BETTER TOGETHER!!

Just a FYI!!

Hi everyone,

So I am taking an extended Christmas vacation!! My husband doesn't start school until the 2nd week of January and since I don't have a job to come back to, we are enjoying FAMILY for a while. It is nice to just RELAX!! We are excited for a FUN New Years Eve BASH!! I will post about Christmas and catch up with giveaways and anything and everything posts when I return. Hope everyone has a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I am enjoying this not having to get up and get ready first thing in the morning. I have got so much accomplished this morning it is GREAT!. Oh, but don't tell anyone--I haven't even showered yet--LOL!!. I am out of my Pjs though.

Home Again Home Again Jiggity Jig!!

Since my husband got out of the Navy and returned to school--I have been working. I was lucky enough to get a job in our small town at the local daycare. It was perfect for me. I could take my girls with me, I could walk to work (since we are a one car family), and I worked 6 hr days and was able to provide for my family. After a lot of changes at the daycare, and some things I couldn't work with anymore, I gave my 2 week notice. My last day was Friday, and today is my first day as a STAY AT HOME MOM!! It was a hard decision and I loved the kids I cared for on a daily basis. I can't believe I was there a year and 4 months. I know money is going to be TIGHT now, but I would rather be home, happy, and stress about money :)--then working, unhappy, and stressed because I would watch an infant and up to 13 extra kids on my own. I just can't be liable for that anymore.

I am so happy to be HOME!! I have so many things I want to do with the girls, and especially Peyton while Kendall is at school. It is going to be her 1on1 time with mommy. I have lists to get accomplished, things to organize, and just the normal everyday mom stuff!!

Today I am going to:
Thoroughly sweep and mop my floors, clean the bathrooms, make shrinky dink jewelry with the girls, bake something (haven't decided on what yet), and PLAY!! The girls have some games they want to play. So now I am off to clean. They are playing at a friends house, and then coming home for lunch and activities with ME :) Can't wait.

Santa Swap

WOOOHOOO!! I received my Santa Swap Package in the mail yesterday. I love getting Surprises in the mail. I got....
A bread warmer, cute snowman, chocolate orange, pecans (which I am going to make into candied nuts :), cute Texas ornament, hair things for my daughters, plus fun coloring for them and princess suckers (going in their stocking--thx :)

I loved everything AGGIE!! YOU ROCK--THANKS SO MUCH!! I hope you liked your package as much as I liked mine. My girls already wore their hair things. Thanks again. It was a fun swap.

No More Pouting!!

My husband and I ventured out today, but not until noon. The crowds had diminished and....I found the KITCHEN SET at Toys R Us!! I couldn't believe it. They had one left, and I SNAGGED IT!!

I AM SO EXCITED NOW!! I can't wait to see the girl's faces when they see it all set-up for Christmas. (they will actually get it a day before since we will be with family, so I get to concoct a little story on why Santa brought it early :)

I got on Amazon.com to check-out the amazing kitchen set I was going to buy my girls, and now it is currently unavailable. Nobody online has it. I want to cry :)

I am hoping by some miracle it becomes available somewhere and in time for me to get it here by Christmas.

I am really striking out with the kitchen set venture. I just want the best for my girls, and now I have to keep searching. I guess WE don't always get exactly what we want :)

I hope everyone is getting some fabulous deals. I am staying at home and pouting, okay not really, but I can pretend for now.
